Why Green Bridge Society works with HIVE patients
HIVE Dispensary operates an independent, regionally-focused medical cannabis footprint — three Pennsylvania locations in State College, Williamsport, and Shamokin Dam, plus one Ohio location in New Paris. Green Bridge Society is the certification side of that journey, getting patients their state medical marijuana card so they can shop at any HIVE location.
HIVE's profile is unusual in the network: smaller and more locally-rooted than the multi-state operators that dominate most cannabis markets, with a strong concentration in central Pennsylvania — including a State College location on North Atherton Street, in the same retail corridor as our Tyrone-based headquarters. For patients who prefer to support an independent operator over a national chain, HIVE is a meaningful option.
Green Bridge Society has certified over 100,000 patients across ten medical cannabis states since 2018. Our telehealth process is built for working adults: complete a short online intake, pick a call window, and a licensed provider in your state calls to review your records and issue your certification. We then walk you through your state portal so registration doesn't become its own project. Your HIVENEW or HIVERENEW discount code is applied automatically when you book through this page.

HIVE's central Pennsylvania footprint — anchoring State College, Williamsport, and the Susquehanna Valley
HIVE State College at 1612 N Atherton Street sits in the heart of the North Atherton retail corridor, less than two miles from Penn State's University Park campus. For State College and Centre County patients — including graduate students, faculty, staff, and the broader Happy Valley community — this is one of the most accessible licensed medical marijuana dispensaries in the area, and Green Bridge Society's certification team operates from a few miles up Route 220 in Tyrone.
HIVE Williamsport at 1490 High Street covers Lycoming County and the surrounding north-central Pennsylvania region — including patients in Loyalsock, Montoursville, South Williamsport, Jersey Shore, and Lock Haven. For patients along the West Branch of the Susquehanna, HIVE Williamsport is the most accessible licensed dispensary, with a much shorter drive than heading south to State College or east toward Bloomsburg.
HIVE Shamokin Dam at 2625 N Susquehanna Trail anchors the central Susquehanna Valley on Route 11/15, serving Snyder, Union, Northumberland, and northern Dauphin County patients — including Selinsgrove, Sunbury, Lewisburg (Bucknell University area), and surrounding communities. This is one of the few medical marijuana dispensaries serving this part of central Pennsylvania, making it a practical anchor for patients in a region otherwise short on options.
HIVE's profile across these three PA locations is genuinely different from the multi-state operators that dominate most of the network. If you value supporting an independent, regionally-focused operator over a national chain, HIVE is the partner for that — and your PA medical marijuana card works equally well at every licensed Pennsylvania dispensary regardless of which one you eventually visit.
HIVE partner FAQ
Your discount is applied automatically when you book through this page. The codes — HIVENEW for new patients and HIVERENEW for renewals — work in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. The booking form routes to the correct state pricing based on which state you select.
New patients pay $95 (regularly $125) and renewals pay $45 (regularly $50) in both PA and OH. Each state's Department of Health charges a separate state registration fee that goes directly to the state, not to us.
Yes. Both Pennsylvania and Ohio have state portals patients must register through to receive their card. We assist with logins, password resets, address verification, state fee payment, and any error messages. Portal support is part of every certification, not a separate add-on.
No problem — your provider will try you again and may follow up by text. Please keep your ringer on during your selected window. Calls can show up as "Unknown," "No Caller ID," or "Spam Risk" depending on your carrier. If we can't reach you at all, our team will email you to reschedule at no charge.
Pennsylvania recognizes 23 qualifying conditions including chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, cancer, Crohn's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, sickle cell anemia, and opioid use disorder under specific criteria. Ohio recognizes 25+ conditions including chronic pain, PTSD, Alzheimer's, ALS, cancer, Crohn's, epilepsy, fibromyalgia, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Huntington's, inflammatory bowel disease, MS, Parkinson's, sickle cell anemia, spinal cord injuries, and Tourette syndrome.
Several reasons. Medical patients typically pay lower taxes than adult-use customers, can access higher purchase and possession limits, and may have access to specific products and potencies not available on the adult-use menu. Medical certification also documents cannabis use in a clinical context, which matters for employment and healthcare situations.
Records help but aren't strictly required. If you have a recent diagnosis or documentation of an existing condition, upload it during intake — it speeds the call along. If you don't have records readily available, your provider will discuss your medical history on the call and determine whether you qualify.
Most patients can shop the same day or within 24-48 hours. In Pennsylvania, you receive a temporary digital card after portal registration and state fee payment. In Ohio, you receive a temporary medical card after registering with the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy and paying the state fee. HIVE accepts your card as soon as it's active in the state system.
Yes. Your medical marijuana card is valid at every licensed dispensary in the state where it was issued — there's no requirement to shop exclusively at HIVE. Your card works statewide regardless of which dispensary you eventually visit.
Yes. All consultations are conducted through HIPAA-compliant telehealth infrastructure, and your records are handled under the same federal privacy standards as any in-person doctor visit. Your information is never sold, never shared with dispensaries, and never used for anything outside of your certification.
