Steps for a New Patient to obtain
a PA Medical Marijuana Card
1. Ensure You Have a Valid PA ID
- You’ll need a current Pennsylvania ID or driver’s license.
2. Check Your Eligibility
- The state recognizes 24 conditions for medical marijuana use. If diagnosed with one, provide proof—a clear picture of a medical document or a screenshot from your healthcare portal will suffice.
- If you don’t have a diagnosis, our doctors can evaluate you for anxiety or chronic pain, with an extra fee.
3. Submit Your Information
- Fill out our [online form here]. No payment is required until we confirm your eligibility. Please make sure to enter your information accurately.
4. Create Your PA DOH Account
- You’ll need a patient account with the PA Department of Health (PA DOH) to store and manage your information and make your transaction with the state. [Register as an adult patient here].
- If technology is challenging, we’ll set up your account and email you the login details automatically.
5. Review and Schedule
- Once we review your information, we’ll email new patient details and a payment link. After payment, you’ll be scheduled for a call with a doctor, usually within the same or next day.
6. Doctor Call and Certification
- Our doctors call to complete your certification, which we then submit to the state. Our office and staff pharmacist are available for any questions about the process, fees, or products.
7. Complete the State Payment
- After certification, you’ll get a confirmation email from PA DOH with instructions to log in and complete the state’s fee.
8. Receive Your Card by Mail
- Your card will typically arrive within 7-10 days. You can track progress in your "Card Status" box under "Profile Settings" in your PA DOH account.
**Remember:** Keep your mailing address up to date in the PA DOH portal before starting any steps to avoid delays and added costs.
